The Patriots hadn't made any real shocking moves during Training Camp like they have in past seasons, well, that is until Wednesday morning. The story broke out that the Patriots had released C Bryan Stork this morning at around 10 ET. However, a new report emerged that Stork had in fact been traded to the Redskins for a conditional draft pick. The story was reported by NFL insider, Ian Rappoport.
The move doesn't quite make sense for the Patriots though. Sure, Stork has had his share of concussion problems and knee injuries that kept him off the field for almost the entire 2015 season but, now that he was back healthy, he was on track to become the Patriots' starting center. The Patriots offensive line is already thin, and now with Stork gone, it leaves an even bigger chance for Tom Brady to end up on his backside. David Andrews will likely fill the void at C for the foreseeable future.
